Joan Roy
Joan I. Roy has been a member of DPS since 1990. She was President from 2005-07, and Editor of the club magazine Focus for sixteen years. Since joining the club, her main interest in photography has been in producing audio visual sequences, using slides and twin slide projectors. However, she did 'go digital' several years ago with a Konica Minolta Digital SLR, and now also owns a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-.28 lightweight 'bridge' camera, ideal for taking away on holiday. Going digital also meant delving into the mysteries of computers and printers, and producing her own prints.
Now retired, Joan says she has never been busier. In addition to working at her own photography and printing, she is also a Scottish Photographic Federation judge and lecturer, and enjoys travelling abroad with husband, Ian.
