Colin Stacey AFIAP DPAGB

Who am I?

The answer is a very, very keen amateur photographer! I have lived in Freuchie, Fife for over Thirty Years, with my wife Barbara. I have two daughters and two grandsons.

I trained as a Marine Engineer went to sea for a few years becoming a Second Engineer. Due to ill health I came ashore and then worked as a Draughtsman with John Browns, Clydebank. From there I got a job with Rolls Royce as a Quality Control Test Inspector testing gas turbine engines for Helicopters. I then spent quite a few years in the building industry involved with Heating and Plumbing .Finally I spent my last ‘working’ years with Wood Group in Dundee inspecting gas turbine engine parts for the M.O.D.

This was the start of DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY for me.

I had to learn how to use a computer for my work ……. THEN I found out that I could use it for my photography!!

This was in 1997 and I haven’t looked back since, gradually learning bit by bit what a wonderful advance it was in helping me produce my work.
