Mark Hamblin has been working as a freelance nature photographer since 1995. He was brought up in Warwickshire, where he developed an early interest in birdwatching and photography. He won the Young Ornithologist Club's photograph of the year, back in 1980 with a picture of a dunnock in the snow! He later moved to Sheffield to study Microbiology, where he lived for 18 years, before heading north to his current home in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, in 2002.

Mark is a regular contributor to many of Britain's leading outdoor magazines, and over his 14 year career he has also written and illustrated over a hundred feature articles. His images are represented by nine international photographic agencies including, Getty Images, RSPB Images, RSPCA Photolibrary and Oxford Scientific Films and are regularly used worldwide in magazines, books and calendars.

Simon is a freelance photographer living in Edinburgh, Scotland. Before he became a photographer he used to work as a lawyer - for seven years in Moscow at a a time when the country was in rapid transformation, and before that in London. Even further back, he studied law at Oxford. Nowadays, he is working in Scotland, but his personal interests and projects - and visits to friends and family - take him to Eastern Europe regularly, and much of his work is over there.

Neil has been taking photographs seriously since 2005 when he joined Midlothian Camera Club, although he started out with a camera when he was 8 or 9.

He joined Edinburgh Photographic Society (EPS) in 2006, and started out on the trail of distinctions and collecting salon acceptances. He got my LRPS in 2006 and my ARPS in 2007. He worked towards his FIAP distinctions, getting his AFIAP in 2009 and his EFIAP in 2011. In the meantime he got his DPAGB in 2009. He also managed to get his FRPS in 2012 at the first attempt. He currently have over 600 acceptances in International salons from around 140 different images, including around 30 medals and ribbons.

Afzal has worked all his professional life in Medical Scientific & Forensic Imaging. He is the principal author of the book entitled "A Colour Atlas of AIDS in the Tropics" which won the Lancet Award in 1990.

Afzal Ansary’s life long passion for photography started when he was just 11 years old. By the age of 14 years he was a proud owner of a Leica and a Rollieflex.

Afzal went on to study photography at the Regent Street Polytechnic, London (now University of Westminster). He trained in medical photography at the St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School (University of London)

A Professional with over 35 years experience and was the first from Ireland to be awarded a Fellowship of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.

Colin Prior is known as one of the UK’s most respected photographers. Born in Glasgow, his proximity to the Scottish Highlands shaped his passion for the outdoors and fostered his interest in photography. His photographs capture sublime moments of light and land, which are the result of meticulous planning and preparation and often take years to achieve. Prior is a photographer who seeks out patterns in the landscape and the hidden links between reality and the imagination.

Commissioned by British Airways for four years, he has travelled to over forty countries throughout the world and lived alone for extended periods of time in the wild just to understand his subject. Colin currently lives in Glasgow where he runs his own publishing business and works on a variety of corporate commissions. Over the past six years he has shared his knowledge through a series of photographic workshops both in Scotland and overseas. He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, a founding member of the International League of Conservation Photographers.

Ray Cox is an established full-time, professional photographer specialising in the gardens and plants of Scotland. He is a member of the Cox family of horticultural experts and authors who have run their world-famous business and garden at Glendoick in Perthshire, Scotland, for three generations.

Ray’s work is regularly published in a wide range of media including national newspapers and magazines, websites, books, calendars etc. He maintains regular contact with the leading organisations and most influential people in Scottish gardening including the top gardeners and designers.

Morag Paterson is a landscape photographer based in Dumfries and Galloway in southwest Scotland.

Roger has been photographing for over 25 years and his main passions are the natural world, its landscape and fauna and flora. He also enjoy many other branches of photography from sports to environmental portrait. In recent years travel has been taking up a major part of his photography and with his travel company Photoventures (www.photoventures.net) he has had the opportunity to explore many parts of the United States and other locations World wide. Since 1990 he have taken over 250,000 million images.
